Clarion, Pennsylvania, August 13, 2025 — PennWest University has officially recognized the PennWest College Republicans (PWCR). This recognition formally approves the organization’s transition from the Clarion College Republicans to the PennWest College Republicans, uniting conservative students from the Clarion, California, and Edinboro campuses under one banner.

“This is more than just a name change it’s an affirmation from the university that our mission to unite and represent conservative students across PennWest is both valid and valued,” said Brady McGiffin, President and Founder of PennWest College Republicans. “We now have the ability to strengthen collaboration between campuses, expand our outreach, and amplify the voices of our members in meaningful ways.”

With this recognition, PWCR will continue hosting events, engaging in advocacy, and providing opportunities for students to get involved in the political process, all while promoting civic engagement, encouraging dialogue, and fostering a supportive community for conservative students.
