Clarion, PA -February 19, 2025 – The Clarion College Republicans are proud to announce a significant milestone in the organization's history: as our name changes to PennWest College Republicans (PWCR). This change reflects the group’s commitment to inclusivity and unity among all PennWest campuses—Clarion, Edinboro, California.

As the conservative voice for students within the PennWest system, the organization recognizes the importance of representing and supporting Republican and conservative-leaning students across all three campuses. The rebranding to PennWest College Republicans will allow for greater collaboration, engagement, and outreach among students who share similar values and goals.

“The decision to change our name was made to ensure that every conservative student across PennWest feels equally represented and welcomed,” said Brady McGiffin, President of PennWest College Republicans. “By unifying under one name, we can strengthen our network, amplify our voices, and work together to promote conservative principles on all PennWest campuses.”

This change also aligns with the organization’s broader mission of fostering political engagement, encouraging civic participation, and providing a platform for conservative students to express their ideas. PWCR will continue to host events, meetings, and advocacy efforts across all three campuses, ensuring that Republican students at PennWest have a strong and supportive community.
