My name is Brady McGiffin, a freshman at PennWest Clarion and President of the College Republicans. I took on the challenge of re-establishing the College Republicans after four years of inactivity because I saw a gap in representation for my party and beliefs on campus. Stepping into this role has required me to learn quickly and adapt, and while I may not yet have the depth of experience that other club leaders do, I am driven and committed to growing in this position.

Throughout this journey, I’ve learned the value of listening and never hesitating to ask for help. I’m grateful to my family and friends for their unwavering support, and I am determined to stand firm in my values and advocate for what is morally right.

To any student facing challenges or big changes, my advice is to take the leap—embrace the unknown with courage. I know it can feel daunting, and I, too have navigated unfamiliar situations that pushed me out of my comfort zone. Also, find friends and those who genuinely support and challenge you; it may take time, but the right people will be there when you need them.

My experience at Clarion has already taught me so much in a short time, and I’m excited for what my future holds!
